Tasting notes from Yves Beck:

Purplish purple. An inviting bouquet of good intensity, with spicy and chocolate notes. Pleasant notes of aniseed, followed by cherries and blackberries with a little air. On the palate, the wine is delicious, with good aromatic expression and spicy notes. The tannins are smooth, perfectly integrated and in harmony with the structure. The structure lends vivacity and fruit to the finish. 2023-2033. 90-92/100

Detailní popis produktu

CLOS DU MOULIN is characterised by an exceptional combination of two very different terroirs. The greater part are gravel sites in direct proximity to the Gironde. The grapes from these sites show diverse fruit aromas, finesse and elegance. The remaining vineyards are quickly drying limestone sites, located about 2 km from the Gironde. These grapes give the wine warming power, opulence and distinctive notes reminiscent of spices; in addition, there are fully ripe black fruit aromas.
This interplay of such different oleofactic and flavour typicity is what makes Clos du Moulin unique. With a velvety body underpinned by red and black fruits, the wine has a powerful volume, which is further emphasised by the ageing in barrique.
Certainly a reliably good companion to food.
