Grape varieties : 90% Malbec, 10% Merlot

Wines average age : 30 years old

Vineyard : 2,5 hectares are dedicated to the production of our malbec. Volumes produced are limited. High Environmental Value (HVE3) certification

Soil : clay-limestone

Winification :  Fermentation starts in tanks and flextanks (ovoid tanks), as we like the soft extraction. The goal is to keep the freshness of the fruit and offer a wine ready to enjoy now, with tannins already integrated. We aged the wine 10 to 12 months in flextank.

Tasting notes : The intense violet color is embellished with darker hues, it is Malbec! The nose is charming and expressive, a lot of dark fruits (blackberries) and a nice eucalyptus notes. The texture on the palate is beautiful with a crispy and fleshy attack. Then, it is pure fruit!

Wine pairing: Homemade pizza, charcuterie and cheese plate, fresh Caesar salad with fried chicken

THE PROPERTY

The ARBO Vineyard are a family business of 41 hectares in Francs and 10 hectares in Castillon. The Estate has been founded in 1900 by Amand Puyanche. 4th generation later, the Arbo family created their first label with his name, to honor him.

The philosophy of the Estate is to respect the biodiversity by working with nature. They developed a lot the agroforestry to preserve their terroir (planting hedges, 100% grass cover, protection of birds, bats, etc.).

Today, Dorian and Margaux, the 5th generation, are taking over after their parents.
